The Peaceful Parents Intensive
An Icebergology™ experience for Christian mothers and fathers seeking peace with God and compassion toward their LGBT-identified sons and daughters.
When the child you love walks a path you don’t understand…
You’ve prayed for your son or daughter since before they were born. Now, as they express beliefs or identities that conflict with your faith, you may feel grief, fear, confusion, or guilt.
You love them deeply — and you may wish they could just see the truth and return to what you’ve always believed together. That longing is understandable. But lasting peace begins somewhere else: with your own heart.
What this is (and isn’t): This is not a program to fix or persuade your child. It’s an invitation for you to rediscover peace, clarity, and strength in Christ so you can love faithfully — no matter where they stand.
- Grieve without despair — face sorrow honestly before God.
- Love without compromise — hold conviction and compassion together.
- Communicate with grace — speak truth in ways your child can hear.
- Release control — entrust their journey to God’s redemptive plan.
- Regain peace — rest in God’s faithfulness, not visible outcomes.
When truth feels negotiable
Today’s culture often treats truth as personal — my truth vs. your truth. That may sound freeing, but it leaves hearts unanchored. If truth shifts with emotion or circumstance, peace can never last.
As Christian parents, you believe truth isn’t invented; it’s revealed — not a feeling to follow but a foundation to trust. The Peaceful Parents Intensive helps you hold to God’s truth with humility, gentleness, and courage. Peace never requires surrendering what’s true — only surrendering control of the outcome.
When your child joins the process
About half of all intensives include moments when a son or daughter joins the work — sometimes briefly, sometimes across multiple short visits. These moments are never for confrontation or correction; they’re guided opportunities to practice empathy, model calm dialogue, and rebuild trust. Participation is always voluntary and based on mutual readiness.
Why this intensive matters
Parents often feel caught between two fears — losing their child or losing their faith. The Peaceful Parents Intensive shows that faithfulness and love can coexist. As you release the urge to control and embrace the call to reflect Christ’s patience, your posture of peace becomes a living testimony to your child and a refuge for your own soul.
